Grief Circle: In Memory of Our Stars (Loved Ones Who Passed From COVID)

Thurs, Oct 14 @ 5:30 pm Pacific Time

We find transformational healing when we have the space to come together and speak directly about our grief.

This special edition Grief Circle provides space for those who have lost loved ones to COVID.

Each Grief Circle typically centers around 3 prompts, and anyone can come share poetry, art, story, thoughts, etc. in response to the prompts. The invitation to share is always open, but there is no obligation to share. You can remain silent or even turn off your camera or step away when you need to if you prefer.

Because this particular grief is so fresh for many, we've offered several thought clouds instead. Feel free to come and share through poetry and art, or come and simply share a story or say nothing at all.

Feel free to bring a photo or an object that reminds you of your loved one if you'd like.

This Grief Circle will be co-hosted with Elisha Bouret of @wixluxure, who lost her grandmother Joan Tererro to COVID-19. We'll be joined by Boomie Bol, as a featured community care poet sharing words of care to the group.

Come find some love, care, and healing with us.

THOUGHT CLOUDS:

πŸ’› favorite memories together

πŸ’› inside jokes

πŸ’› anything you'd like to celebrate about them

πŸ’› anger

πŸ’› things they loved

πŸ’› difficult emotions

πŸ’› things about them that made you laugh

πŸ’› their quirks that you had a love / hate relationship with

πŸ’› a photo or object that reminds you of your loved one (feel free to bring)

TICKET TIERS:

  • Free Ticket: $0

  • Sliding Scale Ticket: $1 - $34

  • Standard Ticket: $35

NOTE & RESOURCES:

Because the prompts can get into sensitive territory, please note we are artists and creators, not mental health professionals. When sharing, honor where you are, and only share what you are ready to share, and that which is safe and life giving for you.

These Grief Circles have been running since Feb 2021, and this is the first edition focused on providing space for those who have lost loved ones to COVID-19.
