“Every moment in our lives has prepared us for why we are here. Our life purpose is written in our personal histories. That is what I want people to feel when interacting with my work. — Everything you fought for to get here was worth it.”

About

I'm Miranda Sheh, a multidisciplinary artist, writer, and poet working and playing in Seattle. Living in and between Chinese and American cultures, I’ve learned to translate the heart. Dark shadows to warm light.

I illuminate collective and personal stories … the nonlinear, the defining, the ever-changing. Through illustration, watercolors, and handmade crafts (like this heirloom grief zine), I offer safe passage — to our true selves and to one another.

Across neighborhoods, oceans, and family tables, I believe in opportunity through artistic courage. Integrating who we are and where we come from with how we can share our gifts: true abundance.

Through my experience with childhood grief and healing, I see our personal histories as giving purpose to life. Identity, culture, loss, belonging ... all swirling in our sacred sea.
