Art Circle. Stories of Warmth.

Wed Dec 7 @ 5 pm Pacific Time

*ASL interpretation will be available at this event. Feel free to share in ASL or English.

Share through story, poetry, music, thought, art, song, etc. to the 3 prompts below. As the host, I will share my own poetry too.

Bring something you’ve prepared or share spontaneously as memories and thoughts are sparked through others’ sharing. Not ready to share? It’s okay to just come and listen.

Warmth in community strengthens us. The prompts for this edition were created with this in mind.

Please share family friendly stories only.

PROMPTS:

💛 Warm drink in hand, this is the story I tell my grandchildren.

💛 Fell asleep with a smile on my face.

💛 If you had all the time in the world to get there, what journey would you go on?

EVENT STRUCTURE:

Curious about what the Art Circle is like?

✔️ Guiding Principles: I share some guiding principles at the beginning of each event to support a safe space.

✔️ We introduce ourselves: I usually read an intro poem and invite everyone to take a few deep breaths to help create a calm and cozy environment.

✔️Then we share on the 3 prompts. Everyone is invited to share via art, writing, poem, thought, song, etc. At the same time, you don’t have to share anything at all if you don’t want to, but the invitation is always there.

✔️It’s very organic, and depending on the size of the group, often we share organically, and it almost becomes a sort of conversation with interludes of art from each individual as we move through the event. This may be a larger event since it is hosted through Creative Morning’s FieldTrips.

REGISTER:

  • This is a special edition Art Circle hosted through CreativeMorning’s Virtual FieldTrips, so this will be a free event. See you there!

LOCATION:

On Zoom. The Zoom link will be shared with you through Creative Morning’s registration follow up emails.
