Grief Circle #13

Thurs, Mar 31 @ 5 pm Pacific Time

The Grief Circles are intimate, quirky, creative spaces to explore our grief through the safe passage of art, poetry, music, thought, story, memory and more, around 3 prompts each time. Bring your voice, or simply a listening ear.

*SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT GRIEF CIRCLE #13:

We will be joined by journalist Michelle Baruchman, Mental Health Project engagement editor at Seattle Times, who is writing a story sharing resources for people who are grieving. To keep the space safe, we have agreed that:

  • No stories from the Grief Circle will be used in the article

  • As a journalist, Michelle won't reach out to anyone who attends, but anyone who attends can reach out to Michelle to share more about their experience if they'd like. At that point, you can let Michelle know if you'd like your story / experience to be reflected in the article.

If you have any questions about the story, please reach out to Michelle at: mbaruchman(at)seattletimes.com

INVITATION:

I'll share my own answers through story or poetry & invite anyone who would like to share their story to offer their voice through STORY / THOUGHT / POEM / SONG / MEMORY / AN ART FORM.

Bring something you've prepared or share spontaneously as memories and thoughts are sparked through others' sharing. Not ready to share? Simply come and listen.

PROMPTS:

πŸ’› the strong stage

πŸ’› things that aren't mine to carry

πŸ’› purpose & values they lived by

πŸ’› my vision & path

TICKETS:

  • Standard Ticket: $40

  • Sliding Scale Ticket (Suggested Donation): $5 - 40

  • Community Ticket: $5

LOCATION:

On Zoom (You can access the Zoom link through the online event page on Eventbrite once you get your ticket).

NOTE & RESOURCES:

Because the prompts can get into sensitive territory, please note I am an artist, and not a mental health professional. When sharing, honor where you are, and only share what you are ready to share, and that which is safe and life giving for you.

These Grief Circles have been running since Feb 2021.

Resources and the Grief Circle’s Guiding Principles can be found on my homepage.
