Nagiarry commissioned this piece to celebrate her niece's first birthday. The theme? Inner Child Joy and Freedom.
I love getting to do pieces for children, because I know how important it is to see ourselves in the story, literally. Because that is how we see our power in the story, too.
Often, pieces are as transformational for myself as the artist, as for the recipient of the custom art piece. Getting to know Nagiarry's niece for this artwork filled me with so much energy: I could feel her joy and spirit through the creation of the work. Her personality and superpowers inspired me to bring more joy into my own life.
